Describe Misty’s breed paw-sonality? What makes her so special?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Misty is nervous around strangers. At first she will bark and howl, but once she’s comfortable she wants to sit on you, give you cuddles, kiss and play with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is this the first time you\u2019ve had a Boxer or do you have a longer history with the breed?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First time owning a Boxer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Misty came into the shelter I work out limping and looking very sad. I just couldn’t resist that face and applied to foster her. It was supposed to be for one surgery, around 3 months in foster, that she stayed with me. Well, it ended up being 3 knee surgeries, 2 ultrasounds, multiple bladder infections and one lump removal. And a year later. After all this time how could we not adopt her?!?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s life like with a Boxer?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n

Somedays chaotic as she is just non stop wanting to play. Her favourite game at home is definitely tug.<\/p>\n

At the local beach she loves a good game of fetch. Well, she just has to figure out the whole bring it back bit, so what would you call that game – take? steal? \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n

If she isn’t flying around or on a walk, you’ll find Misty fast asleep on the theatre couch. It’s the softest couch in the house so she has good diva tastes when it comes to sofas!<\/p>\n\n\n

What was different from your expectations of a Boxer, once you had Misty?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Always friendly and wants to play with everyone. She actually has more of a guard dog personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Misty like most other Boxers, or does she have some unique traits?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pretty much like any Boxer. Likes to play and punch things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Misty’s nickname is ‘Monster’. Her previous name was Cookie so at the shelter she became ‘Cookie Monster’. While we were trying to think of a new name for her new life. We discovered how much of a little monster she can be. From chasing cats, ignoring us, doing runners, destroying gardens. She was a terror. And so ‘Misty<\/span> Monster’ just rolled off the tongue so well too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you love most about being a pet parent to a Boxer?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

She has the most sad but expressive face. And has such a big personality. Oh and her big velvety chops!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s not so paw-fect about a Boxer?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Their separation anxiety and constant need to be included or around someone.  The naughtiest thing she’s ever done was to pull done the temporary fencing and destroy our brand new garden \ud83d\ude44.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What things should others be aware of before getting your dog\u2019s breed?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Need to be a part of the family and be included. They can be too much for some dogs, as they like to play with their paws and punch things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
