The coastal walk between Narooma and Dalmeny is a wonderful, Dog Friendly Walk that was funded and completed by various community organisations and local companies from the towns that the trail passes through. Starting at the Bluewater Drive in Narooma, over the 9 km, you will pass through parks, over the clear waters of the Wagonga Inlet in Narooma, along with dog-friendly beaches and past coastal wetlands to arrive at Dalmeny Campground. Along the route, there are trail markers that provide information about the environment you are passing through. At every beach along the path, there is a carpark, so you have the choice to do this Dog Friendly Walk in one day or break it up over a few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the carpark at the dog park on Bluewater Drive, make your way along the paved pathway at the water\u2019s edge and past the caravan to then pass over the bridge. Be sure to stop while on the bridge to look back towards the mouth and experience the turquoise waters of the inlet. Following the path up the hill, you will then come across the Mill Bay Boardwalk. This is a 350 m section that is on the Wagonga Inlet, giving you an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Take the time to pause and look out for large schools of fish and stingrays as you walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the boardwalk, there is a boat ramp which often sees a seal or two waiting at the fish cleaning tables. Bar Beach is a dog-friendly beach that allows your dog to stretch their legs on the sand. If you don\u2019t want to walk on the sand, the paved path continues behind the dunes and passes by coastal wetlands full of birds. At Kianga Point, you will find a large grassed area for your dog to run around if they didn\u2019t get enough on the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From here, the path runs parallel to the beaches up to Dalmeny, with most of them having restrictions. Just be sure to check the signs in the carparks to see if your dog can run free or needs to be leashed. If you can\u2019t take your dog to the beach you are at, just walk to the next one or two beaches, and you should be fine. There are doggie waste bags and bins at all dog-friendly beaches. There are also seaside cafes dotted along the path if you want a refreshment or a quick bite to eat while you rest your legs. Once in Dalmeny, the pathway continues past the rocky coastline and finishes at Brou Beach. This is where this Dog Friendly Walk ends as the beach forms part of the Eurobodalla National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
